Bio

Bryan is an experienced clergy person, scholar, educator, theologian, consultant and counselor.  Ordained in 2005, his career as clergy includes the pastoring of 5 churches, one which he serves now as pastor. And - for over 30 years - he has instructed children and adults in both K12 settings and in institutions of higher learning. Bryan has also served as an administrator in various settings, including the supervision of district wide gifted education programming and currently chairing a humanities and social sciences department.  Bryan's current ministry consultant work includes religious education programming, innovative strategic planning and discernment, community action programming, social media ministries, live-streaming development, regenerative agriculture and community gardening, emerging worship and spiritual activities programming, and so much more.

After receiving both a Master of Science degree in education at Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) as well as a Master of Divinity degree in theology at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities (St. Paul, Minnesota) in preparation for ordained ministry, Bryan completed (at Saint Thomas University in Miami, Florida) his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Practical Theology, with special area of research concentration in religious education.  Most recently, Bryan completed a Doctor of New Theology (N.Th.D.) in Theologies of Relationship Building at the New Theology School.  His educational preparation and his experience are woven together in a pattern of diversity that offers him opportunities to teach in many subject areas in institutions of higher education, consult with religious education professionals and congregational leaders, along with serving various congregations as minister-in-residence; his most recent congregational ministry is serving as the consulting minister at Dakota Unitarian Universalist Church in Eagan, Minnesota, and he also serves as a pastoral assistant for technology ministries at Shepherd of the Hill Presbyterian Church. Currently, Bryan is an aspirant for standing with the Unitarian Universalist Association and is part of the post-modern interfaith movement emerging around the globe.  Academically, Bryan is the chair of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at an innovative ACE-accredited program called Distance Learning Systems and serves as a professor at the New Theology School online.   Finally, Bryan also currently teaches theology part-time at both Eden Theological Seminary and at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities.
